Information for Educators: What is a family day care Educator?
The Family Day Care Educator is responsible for the delivery of a high quality child care service in the home.
- Time sheets: to ensure they are filled out correctly and given to the scheme on time.

- Mediate resolve disputes between educators and families
- Undertake professional development training
- Ensure compliance with our services policies and procedures
- Demonstrate leadership a commitment to the service
- Ensure compliance with the frameworks including the National Quality Standards
- Ensure compliance with the Regulations and the National Law
- High level of supervision
- Engage and show interest in children learning
- Commitment to the need for confidentiality
- Use positive Child behavior management techniques
- Ensure food is nutritious and drinks are provided regularly
- The ability to develop relationships with families and children
- Provide stimulating activities and experiences to children
- Provide a clean safe environment inside and out
- Maintain accurate records

Certificate 3 in Education and Care Minimum or higher Diploma in Education and Care, a Bachelor or Early Childhood Education
Eligibility to obtain Suitability Care for Child Related Employment (Blue Card)
